Entry requirements to start the course
The module theoretical distance course ATPL (A) concerned person must be a holder of valid qualification license PPL (A), CPL (A) or CPL (A)/IR. The qualification license CPL (A) holder can get a discount up to 200 hours and the qualification license CPL(A)/IR holder up to 350 hours out of the total amount of 650 hours of theoretical preparation required to pass the module theoretical distance course ATPL(A). It is compulsory for the qualification license PPL(A) holders to pass the minimum 650 hours of theoretical training.
SEAGLE AIR - FTO has the right to verify the validity of the obtained qualification license of the concerned person. If the applicant does not meet the above-mentioned conditions, he/she will not be accepted for the module theoretical distance course ATPL(A).
Fluent English is required from each candidate. SEAGLE AIR - FTO has the right to verify the language skills of the candidate/applicant by any means (interview, exam).
The course process
The module theoretical distance course ATPL(A) is organized with distance form of study comprising of 2 phases. Each of the theoretical course phases contains the theoretical preparation including 7 subjects. After successful passing of both the training phases, the candidate will be introduced to 14 subjects, as required by rules JAR-FCL 1.
Each of the phases comprises of the following:
- theoretical study in the classroom
- self-study and exams (focused to verify the knowledge obtained during the study)
The theoretical study scheme is created in order to fulfill the requirement of theoretical preparation duration, as required in appendix 3 of JAR-FCL 1.055, paragraph 4.
During the individual segments of the module theoretical distance course, the candidates will be using the study-exam program created by SEAGLE AIR - FTO. The program is based on internet network, which enables the candidate to verify his/her knowledge obtained during the self-study, and at the same time to consult the arisen uncertainties via the program with the instructors, anytime, and anywhere, in any place with the internet access. In case of no internet access, audio-visual classroom with internet access is available in the headquarter of SEAGLE AIR - FTO in Trencin, with the option of further consulting.
The length of the course is 30 weeks for qualification license PP(A) holders, 18 weeks for qualification license CPL(A) holders and 18 weeks for qualification license CPL(A)/IR holders.
